I just...so many feelings. First things first, how old is Ororo? She's acting older than I thought she was. Granted, she'd be more mature for her age...so I've been thinking like 12? 13? Is she older? This is part of the reason why I like that they bonded so well. She would get some of those other parts of Erik, being hungry and in a very bad way. To an extent obviously, but still there's understanding. That was just a beautiful scene.

Charles and Erik. I kind of adore the switch there. How Charles keeps telling Erik he knows nothing about anything and such. And now the acceptance that maybe he does. This is just a beautiful chapter in general, honestly. I'm so glad that Charles is finally accepting, maybe he'll understand a little better through this?

You know, you're right about Ororo--I slipped there. She was supposed to be 12. I did ask the 12 y-o I know if she knew what famine was and what it meant in long-term consequences and she did know, but she's not... average, I don't think. And yes, they did bond and I think you'll find something interesting about that in the next chapter =)

I';m glad you liked this chapter, to be perfectly honest there are parts about it I'm not on love with. But I turned it around and around over and over and could not fix them, and I don't like to dwell too much, because it makes me uncertain and insecure. I thought I'd just post it and be done with it.

I am loving this story.
At first I was a little skeptical about your take in Charles, he seemed a little cruel but it turned out to make sense, with wall that he has been through. Now I am loving that interpretation of him and how Erik is the one who makes the effort to get closer.

I cant wait to see what will happen next, now that Charles has admitted his attraction and is willing to try what Erik has proposed. I wonder how it will go.

Thanks! I'm happy you like it! I know in the first chapter Charles doesn't come across as a very nice person, but I was hoping he would redeem himself as the chapters kept coming.

I love the stories where Erik is the one making the effort, to be honest.
