I liked this chapter a lot. It was nice to see them falling back into banter and going exploring. It's fine for them to have this honeymoon period and getting to know each other physically as well. I wish I had more to say, but I just simply enjoyed reading this.

Additionally, I am still so very fascinated by the bond they share now. I understand that Charles is living rather a lot in Eriks mind now, relearning what kind of touch (among other things) is proper and acceptable and defining his shields by Eriks standards... Until he has set those boundaries again his reactions will depend on Erik a lot, won't they? I just had this image of him having no problem hugging Ororo, but getting a big blinking neon green sign of "DO NOT TOUCH" from Erik when trying to get comfortable with Moira or Logan. xD

And you're right, a lot of Charles' reactions will depend, for now, on how Erik judges a situation. Not the basic personality traits, of course, but other things, sure.

And LOL, the potential for jealousy with Moira and Logan, I might explore that!

Uhhh, I need this to end happily. Have I mentioned that? I need Shaw to be dead, I need them to stay together, and I need them both to be alive. This was so beautiful, their relationship, Charles able to finally let go. The fact that he might be able to hug the kids, Erik making food, how they can talk to each other and just...everything. I need this to end happily. Please?

Well, I can tell you I like happy endings myself, but I think bittersweet ones are even more interesting ;)
