I've wanted to see it for so long, and the other day when I saw it on tv i couldnt watch it because I was getting ready to go out...blah =( I shall try to watch it soon.
I first watched this film when I was young but I remember loving it.. My mom had bought the soundtrack but didn't like it as much as she thought, so she gave it to me. I still have it & I actually bought a discount VHS copy of the movie a few years back but it stopped playing about a year ago.
You're completely right about the 70's and I used to feel the same way. However, there is A LOT of good music that came out during the 70's. The 70's culture of ROCK N ROLL has been drowned out by the reputation of DISCO and frankly, that's too damn bad.
I love Patrick Fugit, but for some reason only in this movie. If I had to pick one guy from TV/Movie, I'd pick him in a heartbeat. Hrmmm, I'll look into it. Next time I can't sleep and up until three in the morning.
Haha, I say watch it. But that's just my opinion. Many people tend to point the finger at disco as the blame for the death of Rock and Roll. Plus we're only human, we're very hesitant towards change, and I don't think that any amount of time could have ever prepared the world for disco.
