How is it that this is the first time I've come across this story? OMG! I sat here all morning reading it from the beginning after getting a taste of this chapter. This is a fabulous story, and I love the way you get into Tommy's head! I loved the angst and the love, and the loyal friends they both have! I can't wait for the next chapter! Thank you for writing and sharing this with us! <333
So glad you found it! Thank you muchly for such kind words.
I do love being in Tommy's head but I think I'd like to get inside Adam's head for whatever I write next. It must be such a glittery, laughing-all-the-time place. :D
*clapping* Great ride through emotions!!! I like angry Adam and it's so real. I can feel his anger and his hurt and I can really understand that he wanted to slap Tommy. I think some of your readers might wanted it as well ;-)
And Tommy is just so cute and unsure. Struggling with being a "girl" in the relation. In every realtionship there is the same fight until the positions are equal. You showed it really good how hard it can be.
And what a good end! Can't wait for the final chapter!!!
Thank you very much! While Adam can be awfully sweet and kind, I can imagine that he's capable of going off the deep end. I think maybe some of the readers would have preferred to see Tommy bitch-slap Adam, though. Haha.
Power in relationships is interesting, especially when you take the gender out of it. Tommy's a subby little thing, as someone else once said, but he has a tough core and would fight for equality in his own quiet way, I think. Well, I love him no matter what, can't stop myself. Love Adam for different reasons, too.
It's worrisome that NONE of the issues Tommy contemplated before leaving Adam have come up, and that there's no hint that he discussed any of them w/his friends while in hiding. imo that's why he hid out in the first place: He was not only hiding from Adam, but from his own conflicting feelings about Adam. He's now back w/Adam, but there's no reason why he can't go back to feeling the way he did at the end of the last episode, as he still hasn't confronted his demons.
You can't force a person who is in hiding from his own deepest fears to confront those fears.
Good luck to them both. LOL, I'm now thinking of them as if they were real people instead of characters in a fanfic.
Hi, Maria, thanks for the thoughtful comments. I don't disagree - Tommy is hiding from himself more than from Adam, and he hasn't confronted the demons. I think few people ever really confront their demons. Instead we lumpen human beings muddle through life, getting whatever happiness or fulfillment we can. That's what he is trying to find (to my mind). Basically he ran out because he freaked out but that was the wrong way to handle it and he realized it later, but then he couldn't go back until Adam made it okay to go back.
They did manage to get some things out in the open that maybe weren't out there before. There's no perfect ending. There's no such thing as a marriage made in heaven.
OMG. I laughed so hard. Monte, Neil, Jillian. LOL. And Adam prowling back & forth looking to pounce on Tommy...awesome image. The whole thing was so worth the wait. The angst was worth this amazing story. I am so in awe of your writing skills. I can hardly wait for the last chapter but I don't want it to end!! I hope Tommy can resolve some things in his head, that Adam convinces him that he gives much more than sex to the relationship & their lives. (And I sincerely hope we get some sex with some cuddling after as opposed to Tommy running).
Perfect. I just got completely slayed by Adam saying "You're the only exception". We get so ingrained in a certain way of thinking, then something shakes us to the core, and we see the flip side. I love the fighting words. It was exactly the way it should have gone down. In front of loving and caring friends that "get" it. Thank you for this story.

Long story short: it's fanfiction! :D

Love this! Thanks so much for writing it.

After it ends I'm sure I'll write some short Adam/Tommy stuff just for fun.
Yes, they will indeed do the horizontal tango again, with enough cuddling afterwards to give you a mouthful of cavities. Promise! <3

P.S. I adore your icon. That is the cutest little smile Tommy is giving Adam.
