I Got a New Job

Hello, LiveJournal readers.

Some of you may already know this, but I've been looking for a new job since around July. Luckily, I've also been employed since then at my current job, so I haven't been experiencing the usual trials and tribulations associated with unemployment.

Japanese interviews sound so much better. I have terrible trouble with the interviews in the U. S.

Also, I actually think a proofreading job sounds fun. Maybe that just means I'm a petty, vindictive nitpicker.

Your mileage may vary. I had one interview in Japanese, with a tire manufacturer. It was the interview that would not end. It was terrible; we all knew it was terrible, and that nothing was going to come of it, but it would still just not die.

I followed a suggestion to add flour to the water one adds to the pan after the 餃子 get a little crispy on the bottom. The result is what you see here: a layer of crunchy joy holding the whole ring of dumplings together.
