Some of you may know that there is a test of Japanese language ability here called the
Japanese Language Proficiency Test. I had taken the most difficult level (Level 1) when I first arrived in Japan and failed. Two years later, I took it again with much better results.

The JLPT results don't come in a letter, actually. I had to pay an extra 1000 yens to get the A4 certificate. It's not particularly useful right now, though :P

And it looks like you mutilated the test. Congrats on the results! And it's actually good to know that the individual category results show up on that piece of paper. I just barely scraped by with a pass on 2kyuu a year ago, and while I can say, "Holy shit! See how I went from a 66% on 2kyuu to a 65% on 1kyuu in a year? That's progress!" it doesn't necessarily lend me much comfort in my job search.

We're thinking of going back to America and having the wedding in Houston, at least a year from now (maybe longer, depending on finances, etc.).
