I just submitted an abstract for the Fall 2007 meeting of the MRS (Materials Research Society) in Boston. It looks so neat to see my research on an official scientific abstract for such a large conference. It's even cooler that I am the primary author for the paper (that's why my name comes first). So I've been busting ass in my lab all week, and It doesn't feel like I'm making hardly any progress whatsoever. My samples have to be 10 microns thin. None of my research data came out correctly, which wasn't all that cool. The measurements I take depend very much on the sample thickness, and since my samples are still in the mount while I measure them, finding the thickness of the sample inside the mount can be kinda bothersome.
