Claim a letter based on the prompt and give me a character. I'll write you a drabblething/ficlet/whathaveyou. Gonna stick with my fandoms and Milliways and rp group verses for this one to try to keep my brain. These will probably be SHORT little snippets. (Also, I am having urges to write 24 fic. Brain oh brain.)

(And there is no other option than doing this right. None.)
Jack takes up a defensive (offensive) position on her right as they storm the building. Though 'storm' isn't the word that best describes what they're doing -- silent and deadly, three men perish from snapped necks or severed jugulars before they reach the hallway where the bullets have to start flying.
They find Carl in corner, almost missing him on the first sweep of the room. There's a bruise over his right eye split by a hardened scab; his shoulders feel thin as Trudy pushes him onto his back. Her voice catches when his fingers dart for her throat, but the grip never crushes her windpipe (not a threat) and it's another reason that the tight feeling steals her words ( ... )

His eyes dart back to Trudy, and he knows that she knows there's a mission to finish and an objective to complete, but he can't bring himself to speak. Not with the way her fingers are pressed against Carl's jaw and her forehead against his hair, mouth barely moving as she speaks words that are too soft for him to hear.
(we're gonna get you out of here)
just, yes. I can SEE this, and I love, love, love that you captured something I see Trudy having - those little moments of tenderness amongst the OKAY AM BADASS NOW.
And then, of course, they all go and kick butt. <33

Mommy makes houses pretty for people.
The drawing is that of a house -- it looks a bit like a cross between a castle and a house, with stars and shiny things all over it -- and of a smiling woman with brown hair standing beside a stack of books (catalogs) and patches of color (paint cards and fabric swatches) and more happy people standing outside.
Daddy is a hero and fights bad guys to keep us safe.
The drawing is that of a man dressed in black (no, he's not Batman) and green with a big smile on his face, a smaller girl -- herself -- standing beside him, stick-figure hands joined together. There's a 'bad guy' standing further away ( ... )

This is an interesting meme. I might snag it since I feel like writing but my ideas are stuck.

"You didn't have to do this for me, you know."
She smiles, and it's kind of sad but at the same time silly. "Of course I didn't, but I wanted to, and you'll get better."
"I know, I always do."
"And this time you'll have help," she promises. "Mum made that quilt, you know."
"Did she?" Carl glances at the fabric, and a smile spreads across his face. "Is it yours?"
"It was," she leans over and kisses his nose. "But it's yours now, you need something to keep you safe."
"Thank you."
"Don't mention it, now come on, it's nice out and if you sit inside all day I'll have to thwap you."
