Fucking disgusting :(

I now realize that I have not known the meaning of gross until I came home today. I have had a minor problem with mice getting into stuff, so I set a bunch of traps when I left thursday. I came home today to find they had been very successful, the stench told me so when I came through the door, and the maggots were happily feasting away. Now the ( Read more... )

I seem to recall having very poor success with those "trap door" style live traps, and I don't really want to just put them back where they came from, therefore I have mo moral qualms about trapping them the old fashioned way, and I'm sure it's more humane than poisoning them. Now if I could just figure out how they're getting in in the first place...

Blech! I never had problems with mice in the trailer before, how the heck did they get in?

I'll be around Monday. I hope to see ya while I'm up.

Neither have I, but this is the most rural place I've been. I have no idea how the little bastards are getting in unless they have amazing climbing / jumping abilities,

Where's Mickey Mouse's punk ass when you need him! Someone needs to tell that fool to take control of his damn kids!>;P

I got this whack but amusing scene in my head involving a portion of the Last minutes of Sgt. Hartman's (R.Lee Ermey) miserable existence, before Private Pile, blew em away:P. Of course, that ever infamous and hilarious saying, WHAT IS THIS MICKEY MOUSE SHIT?!?! Except instead of walking into The Head, he walks into your trailer and yells it!:P

Does this happen to you often? What do you find is the easiest way to remove / dispose of maggots? I was thinking just shop vac them up wherever they may be...

I once accidentally left meat in a pot for a couple days. I wondered what the smell was. When I found it, I dumped out the squirming heap of rotting flesh in the woods and cleaned the pot profusely. I did have a mouse problem in the last house I lived in and used mouse traps, but I never had any problems with oder from dead mice.

Eww, I'd probably just throw the entire pan away. Did the smell ever come completely out of it?
