Well, it's Ken's birthday today, and I want to give him a little something. Real life has been WAAAYY too busy to throw another party (I still have to thank everyone for the last one - coming I promise), but then again, Ken doesn't really go for those silly parties much anyway. Annette, you are a peach. What a lovely wish for a friend when he's having a writing day! We all need a visit from muse now and then. (There's a lovely story called "Silver Lady and the Fortyish Man," in which, at one point in the story, the protagonist, a writer, finds her muse (after a long absence) sitting on the writer's typewriter, painting her toenails.) And you pay such careful attention to my tastes! (But what color were the skirt and jacket?)

Janice will wonder why you've got me married to Rachel (as will David), but maybe we won't tell them. ;)

Oh yay, that's so good - what a great day for Ken. Inspiring muse, too... :) Tell me, are women's muses handome men, or do muses always have to be female? I know what the nine muses are, I just wonder if they show up as men for those who prefer that. Any experience, 'nette?

Well, given that my Sparta story is supposed to center on a young girl, but my scenes keep revolving around scarred, manly men, I think I know the answer to that question! My muse is DEFINITELY male. And manly. And scarred. And without a doubt handsome. I have a crush on my muse.

And on that note, I'm going to go to sleep and hopefully dream of my muse!

Oh, definitely. When I wrote my last entry, I was knackered from all I'd done that day. The party and all that was a major boost, and was far from wearing me out.
