I want to watch a scary movie tonight, but I want it to be eerily scary, not gory scary.

Something "Silence of the Lambs" esque or even "The Shining". Psychological. Moving. Creepy. But not "gasp!".

Help?

Isn't Hostel lots of blood and people being tortured? May not be what you want.

A Japanese horror called "Dumplings" VERY VERY mild blood/gore, but OMG it leaves you going "WTF"!?!!?
They have it at Hollywood Video, It's called Extreme a 2 disk set. It's 3 short films and the original of Dumplings. You should see it. BUT...no so sure for the kids. It's kinda a gross topic.

My friends and I used to watch the Exorcist III. It's campy and yet there are moments that make you really jump. The Ring's not bloody but it made me jump.
