I was wondering if I could pay you to make some mittens for me (with really long cuffs...my coat sleeves are too short).

hmm.. it would depend on when you need them for. I just took on a pretty huge project to knit a sweater and scarf, and I'm making some parts of my halloween costume. so I don't think I'd have the mittens ready for another month or so.

When are you gonna be in town again?

another option would be to knit armwarmers that you could wear under your mittnes, if you already have a pair of mittens..

I can wait for great mittens... I have gloves in the meantime. I'd be happy if they were ready for December sometime.

Next time I'm in town is November 6th for Catcall (which you should come to!).

it is warm, but not too warm. and i just got this crazy idea to unravel the last half foot and then turn that into pockets to knit back onto the shawl.. you know how some scarves have pockets?
