The second date didn't go so well.  I discovered a lot about this man's character and decided that there was no way forward for us.   So, that's that.

I'm not being too picky, I'm simply being realistic about the kind of relationship I want.  I have enough life experience and relationship experience to read people pretty well.

It's good that you discovered this now instead of months into the relationship. It's much harder to end it as you got deeper into it. Good luck.

I make a point of finding out what people are like as soon as possible but this guy gave himself away very quickly though.

Thanks, don't feel guilty, it's not like you are commenting in all my other friends LJ's and skipping mine.

I just get so depressed when people respond to everyone elses little tiny minor issues and don't seem to even acknowledge that I exist sometimes. I understand that people are busy and often don't have time, but when you a person responding to a dozen other journals and not yours, it's not that they are too busy.

I've actually given up looking! the people i meet just want to be friends and i can't keep gaining new "friends" as it hurts too much! so i've given up looking
