I'm catching up on the little missed doses of misery that have been flying around, everybody's taking shots of it this week, or catching really high fevers.  Saw two flies today, and I biked without gloves so Jodie says it's summer time.  Everything's going to be so different this summer from last; these are my last months as a wintering Alaskan.  ( Read more... )

I don't think I'll quite my job until the summer time, when it is time for popcicles.  Fortunately, the godfather of soul was not on the 15 today, so awkwardness regarding why I will not call him at home was avoided.

I was just admitted to the University of New Orleans. 

The Most Evil Women In History, my first book this year, was an opinionated anthology of wicked femmes, and terrifyingly informative.  Funny how the most prominant politically powerful women of the 17th and 18th century made it in, Katherine The Great, an empiress of Madagascar who hated Christian missionaries, etc..  I'd better not go off ( Read more... )
