It's weird...when i left it was winter and cold and now it is in the midst of summer. It's kind of magical if you think about it. I am glad to be home and glad to see all of you again next year.

So i'm writing one of my many papers before the end of the term and all i can think about is going home - not so much going home, but the feeling of being home. I'm learning what it means to be homesick, to travel, to be completly silly in a foreign world. Before this spring i never really missed anything like I miss things now. Oh livejournal...it's spring break (in france at least) and i'm a little tipsy. I'm going to italy on saturday which is exciting. I've been sick since sunday and it really sucks. I just have a weird cold thingy. I hope i can go to switzerland this weekend.

So yeah, i just drank a whole pot of jasmine tea - which was amazing. I'm thinking that one weekend i wanna hike up to one of the castles in the alsacian countryside and just camp out there, right one the ruins of an old medieval castle. That would be wonderfu. Today it's hard to be in a foreign country. I'm sitting here trying to read my medieval chapter, listening to chelsea get ready for her date with Ryan - the local frenchman. France is just a lonlely place sometimes, especially when the one person you want to see the most is across an ocean.

Last night i went to a Hookah bar with some people from the trip and chelsea's french friends. It was so great. The place we went to was really relaxing...the walls were a deep red and it was lit by candle light. There were cushions all over the floor to lounge on. Hello everybody from France, I'm so glad that all of you had good biddays. It feels quite different to be so far away from all of that. It's been a good first (almost week) here. I'm getting ready to go get a haircut...and in a few days (thursday to be exact) i am leaving for Strasbourg. It's pretty exciting, but also sad. I'm going to miss everybody, especially a few terribly. I'll write later before I go.
