It's always a little weird when someone you've considered to be a pretty good friend for several years suddenly decides they want nothing to do with you, and they won't even offer a good explanation for their sudden change of heart. It makes it hard to decide between being confused and being offended...

BTDT. I had what I thought was a close friend for years. It dawned on me one day that the only time we talked on the phone was when I called her. It wasn't the LD charges, it was the feeling that I was chasing her, and I didn't like that feeling.

I experimented and didn't call her. Took her two months to call after me. We had our usual hour-long convo. I called her about a week and a half later and we did the same. Then it was her turn to call back. That was about four years ago and I'm still waiting.

At least you're confused and/or offended. I never got past being hurt.

Aww. Yeah it sucks, doesn't it? I've been dropped several times, with no explanation. Sorry to hear it's happened to you. Their loss!
