I'm producing stock for the yearly December art show. This year, I'll be making photos with clocks mounted in them. If you have issues with graphic heavy pages, you might want to skip this post.
Geoff might well like to have this!! Some amazing pix came out of that day :) And I like the implied comparison of a clock=time with soap bubble=ephemerality... (is that a word??)
It's pretty hard to choose among the others you've lined up. The Chihuly tentacle and the Kwan Yin jumped out at me most strongly for some reason. I'm less fond of those that place the clock squarely on some part of statuary's anatomy but they're just as attractive, really.
Kiwi's sister, at whose home we're having the show, was strongly in favor of clock hands sweeping over body parts. She thinks it would sell well to the St Louis art crowd. I was initially putting the clock in more unobtrusive spots.
some of them are lovely photos, but the clock doesn't fit in well (e.g. kwan yin - there's no place for the clock to go). the chihuly tentacle is great in that respect, because there is a natural hub and surrounding white space. the chihuly boat would have been my hands-down favourite of the lot, but the three pillars with statues in the background spoil it. 'cactus' is worth saving from your discard pile.
