That meal...I won't say it was as bad as the time I fell into a Friltan slime bog with my mouth open but it was fairly close. And the texture was worse.

By directly-next-door-neighbours, do you mean the Appletons or the Johnsons? Because if you ever get a chance to try it, Mrs. Appleton does a fantastic gazpacho.
I also think it's very sweet of you to let the Doctor know you appreciate his cooking. Believe me, a little recognition for one's efforts goes a LONG way.
