I have had my Journal for approximately four years and for all that time I kept it open to the public to see a part of myself. I have no problems with people wanting to read about my life and what makes me tick. Unfortunately my Job (the Army) is enforcing regulations to register any online journal or website from it's soldier or face the ( Read more... )

Hi Chris. I totally understand. I know you don't post much, but I do like to know what's going on with you.

I also know you guys have been really busy. Steve told me that you hardly get a chance to come up for air.

I hope you've got R&R coming up soon. I know Steve's looking forward to a break.

I am definately looking forward to a break. I actually managed to talk to Steve a few days ago. I have the EPSQ program for him. I also looked for jobs around Alaska that I mentioned to him, couldn't find anything down near Anchorage, but there were two decent ones down on Greely. They were GS 12 and GS 13 AT/FP jobs, starting around 50k a year plus an aditional 25% COLA.

I don't think Greely is going to do it for us. That's a little TOO remote! But thanks for your help!

So, how are they finding all these webpages and journals? As, I know a number of military people that have Myspaces and that's how they keep in touch with many friends and family back home. And some even go so far as to mention their sexual orientation (that whole don't ask, don't tell thing).

What kind of penalties are going to come if one doesn't register their site?

Non-judicial punishment. It's like, something you have to accept being done to you. They call them Article 15's.

As for finding the site, you have to register, and they do have people that search for them. I seriously doubt that they would be able to find mine if I didn't register, but it is possible. I just have a distinct sense of right and wrong when it comes to my work and the people I work with. Army values of Honor and Integrity I guess.

Hi Chris-- I was thinking about you the other day. Remember when you took all of us (Jenny, Shellie and I) to Copeland's because we cleaned your (gross) apartment. Ha Ha That was such a long time ago. Things sure have changed since then. Hope you are doing OK...

BTW-- add me??

Yes I remember that. I remember bribing you guys for a lot of cleaning ;-)

It's good to hear from you. I'm sorry you're not feeling very well. I read something about a car accident the other day. Remember when I had mine? Not sure if you knew me when I had mine.... It was over by the KFC near Memorial and Lilly Flagg. A little old lady turned right in front of me.

I might actually be returning to Huntsville. Time will tell.

Take care Melissa. Let Shelly and Jenny know I said hi.
