I should really be studying for my two midterms that are coming up in like 4 days but I've been stuck reading the same article for an hour...things are not looking good. So I decided to take a break from studying to FINALLY check out the website for the Michener Institute since I was planning on going there next year after graduation. Imagine my ( Read more... )

I'm sure you'll find a job, just start looking now, it's not too late to find something that begins in the summer and you have tons of time for work starting in the fall.

If only I could marry rich as well! There's always the dream ;)

Well it'll be like taking a year off to "relax" but you'll be working making some spending money (well you already do but i guess it could go toward tuition/textbooks). Its still considered early to look for jobs at the moment and if you work in retail and at my fave stores i'll visit you for discounts :)

Oh jono... you can marry rich too just pick a girl... but the chinese saying pinned to you would be "sick yuen fine"

Yeah I know. I tend to freak out...alot. I am going to dedicate the next month or so trying to just look for jobs and tweaking my resume. Also, when Ray said "sick yuen fine", I was confused for a sec cuz I thought you were talking about Yuen. lol

haha nah... it just so happen that the word came up like that to match what i wanted and i was too lazy (probably incapable) to think of another word.

You could find someone in coop and ask them about job postings and then apply to ones you like that are showing (even if its geared or made only available for coops). Its backhanded but i mean when you place a resume on their desk i don't think they're too particular to care if you're in coop or not.

I agree with working for a year. Take that year to decide what you want to do with your life. There are also tons of teaching english overseas opportunities. You don't make a lot of money but you'll get to travel and see the world.

I actually did look at the teaching abroad things. I told my mom and she was so disapproving cuz she found out I would make like 10 bucks an hour. Chinese parents...sigh.

But travelling could just be part of your plan to marry rich. See? You should explain that to your mom. Besides, they pay for some of your living expenses anyway. Who knows, maybe you'll meet an asian bill gates but younger and better looking.

so I tried to slip that through with my father - about having absolutely no plans next year.

I found myself in my room moments later with the most depressed feelings ever. ugh. But I painted my room, it's no longer blue anymore.
