When MoveOn.org sends you an email titled "Dick Chaney is right," you know they must have found something pretty strange. The video they found has pinned the needle on my outrage meter! There was a TIME Magazine article cowritten by George H.W. Bush in 1998 entitled "Why We Didn't Remove Saddam", explaining why it would have been a mistake to try to remove Saddam from power during the first gulf war. Sadly, it's not available in TIME's online archives.

That would be interesting reading. I would think there were a bunch of articles and interviews about this; it was very controversial at the time. Well, I'm glad this one surfaced.
