I'm back, baby!
So the cluster ended after about 5 and a half weeks, which is far too long. Important lesson learned: chocolate triggers headaches, which explains why the weekends were worse this time, sitting around next to a bowl of M&Ms. I've slept a lot in the last couple of weekends, and I'm slowly bringing my caffeine intake back down to earth levels. I think I want my money back.
So, it's cluster headache time again. This cluster has been hard to predict -- the times, frequencies, and intensities have varied, and every time I think I'm done because a few days go by without anything, I get another one. At this point it's been about 3.5 weeks, and the novelty has certainly worn off ( Read more... ) -

I've meant to post about this for a while, but I finally got my Asteroids game fixed up. I bought this game when I first moved to Austin in 1992, but it's had various issues most of the time since. I read a review of the recently-published "Schulz and Peanuts" biography, which appears to portray him as cold, distant, occasionally womanizing, and plagued by chronic agoraphobia. I'm sorry, everybody. I got the call this morning from the vet that Taura died. -
My cat is sick.
For those who haven't heard, my cat Taura is very sick. She started showing real symptoms over the weekend, and I brought her into my regular vet on Monday, where she was diagnosed with liver failure due to hepatic lipidosis, presumably caused by her stopping eating at some point recently. This was complicated by her losing her ability to clot ( Read more... )
