Whew! That was some experience. Glad that it ended with Pauline moving out.If this is fiction the emotions are very well captured. If not *hugs* for going through this.

What a truly awful woman! Firing a cleaning woman because her skin color clashed with the walls? Kicking you out of a room because seeing you would make her friend think the worst? As sorry as I am that it happened, taking two slaps to get rid of her was not a bad thing. At least, in the end, your father saw her for what she was and kicked her out.

I've added a disclaimer - this is fiction! Thanks for the kind words though.

I have such a problem distinguishing first person fiction from non-fiction entries. I generally need someone to hit me over the head with it. Sometimes I even blow past the most obvious of disclaimers. Oh well. I really enjoyed your story.

I can see exactly how it happened - I have the same problem with entries for idol...
Thank you! :D

Wow. Was this your young life? I'm so sorry.

I am divorced and my ex has a Russian girlfriend here in the states - only she is NOT hot, lol.

But, she is cold and demanding and my kids HATE having to spend time with her, my daughter especially. They have and I have tried to talk to their father about the things she says to them, but he always takes her side, poor Russian girlfriend with no family in the States, blah blah...

He is teaching them that his relationship with that woman is more important than they are. So hurtful. Luckily, they are only with him about 5 days a month and for a few weeks in the summer.

I've added a disclaimer - this is fiction! It is based on a friend's experience growing up, with some bits quotes directly from my memory of her story, but still. Fictionalised!

I'm sorry that your kids have to go through that. It's extremely hurtful that this woman appears to be more important than them in the eyes of their father, and it's a very difficult thing to tackle when the person doing it can't see it your way. I wish you luck with the whole messy situation!

I'm glad this is fiction because this was quite the unpleasant scenario, told brilliantly.
