We’ve done different things for a few Thanksgivings. In 2014 when I was pregnant with Zane we went to California for the whole week of Thanksgiving and had a week of fun. Boys loved it! Last week doctors confirmed that Zane, our 13 month old, has Muscular Dystrophy just like his older brother, Alex.

We took the last week to let close family know, although we’ve gone through this already once with Alex, it in no way has this made this news any easier for us with our baby boy. (In some ways worse.)

The last 2-3 days I've noticed a cognitive difference in Zane. He's starting to become focused on things he didn't before. It's a weird thing to describe. He's playing with toys in a different way than what he has previously. Kinda like he's just suddenly realized something new about stuff around him and he's exploring it ( Read more... )

So today we went in to see the GI doctor again. I kinda hoped that Zane's diagnosis was a mistake. You know that little bit of denial that I had running through my head that all of this is just a very bad dream. Zane had his first Dental appointment this week. It was kinda cool to see him going for his first. He may be getting his 1 year molars and that could be the cause of the teething but nothing has changed yet. No new teeth to report yet. He did well with the short cleaning of the four he has though.
