The One Where She Goes to London

Friday

It was an increditbly foggy day in NYC when I left.  Just like London!  Kitty ran and hid under the bed as I was leaving.  He saw my red suitcase and he associates that with getting into his own carrier and traveling, which he hates.  Poor baby.  I miss him when I go away.

The best part of the trip was the flight there.  Awesome ( Read more... )

Sounds like you had an awesome time. I am thinking I need to plan my next vacation, but I can't be as brave as you and go by myself!
I have never heard of Maxjet either, I am going to have to keep that one in mind the next time I book someone to London.
Do you have any pics to share?

Thanks! It was definitely a unique experience. And I do think your clients would love Maxjet.

Actually, I didn't take any pictures, believe it or not :( You know, it's strange, there were so many historical landmarks, but I just felt sad taking pictures of that without any people in them, or worse yet: of me alone in front of the landmarks. So to shake that negative feeling off, I just avoided taking photos.

Thank you....although, I think you're a pretty strong woman...I'm sure you'd be fine traveling alone :)

That sounds like a delightful trip, really. I have always wanted to visit the London, but we just don't ever have the time to do it. If Rob would let me, I'd so go on a trip to London with you! But, he's really protective and would worry too much about me going overseas without him.

You two should definitely try to go at some point in your lives....it is a great place to visit....lots of history. Not a very relaxing vacation per-se, but definitely worth visiting. I have a feeling throughout your lives together, you and Rob will be doing a lot of traveling over the years :) Hawaii was a good start!

I loved reading about your trip! I felt like I was there. :) Sorry about the asshole bartender (that kind of surprised me), but it sounds like the rest of it was good. I wish I would have done the Jack the Ripper tour when I was there. I love creepy stuff like that.

That plane sounds awesome, too. Will most definitely check into that should we head to the UK in the future.

Anyway, I'm proud of you for doing that! And I'm glad you made it home safe and sound.

The asshole bartender surprised me too, because everyone else I encountered was EXTREMELY friendly. I usually can charm just about anyone, but this guy had a real chip on his shoulder. When I tended bar, we served local brews that were unfamiliar to anyone who didn't live in the great lakes region, so I went OUT OF MY WAY to explain "yes, that's a red lager, similar to Killians...", etc.

Thank you for your sweet remarks about my trip. I love sharing it with my friends almost as much as the trip itself!
