Maybe I am goin' to Boston because a lot of people are too cool (i.e. Tammy, Chris and his grandparents, my parents).

I just discovered that a book that I got at the thrift store during my "learn French" phase was not only printed in 1857 but-according to the penciled inscription on the first page-"presented [to?] [? Doman?] by [? Dodgson?] on board the Steamer 'Messenger,' Alabama River. March 7, 1867."

How cool is that?

The lady that played Rosengurtle Baumgartener is the PE teacher on Lizzie MacGuire. There's just something ironic about that.

Lord of the Flies is one of those books that makes you lose hope for the fate of humanity and civilization.

But it is an awesome book nonetheless.

This is so stupid.

I remember the day that my mom washed my mouth out with soap, and it sure as hell worked on me for a long time. Do you know how bad soap tastes? But it ain't gonna kill the kid.

Orson Scott Card is so good, it makes me almost ashamed to want to be a writer.

It amuses me that USA would make a movie about Spartacus pretty much ripping off Braveheart-including the eponymous hero charging into battle crying "Freeeeeeeedooooom!" It even has Angus MacFadyen (who played Robert the Bruce) in it.

It amuses me even more when they premiere it right after showing Braveheart.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this.

I've never been solicited to buy a piece of the moon before. I'm not sure whether to laugh or not. It's kind of a cheesy little website (the government of Luna?), but I must say that I agree with Bush when it comes to the Space Program.
