On Countdown tonight, I saw that Sarah Palin has taken her condescending line about community organizers on the stump. We'll probably be hearing it a lot from here on out ( Read more... )

Oh, there's any number of things one might say about Palin. But "stupid"? Does not seem to be one of them.

That's one of the things that scares me about her.

Imagine a female Dubya. Except she's smart, articulate ... and *competent*.

Not much in my personal universe scarier than THAT image.

To clarify, I don't think Sarah Palin is stupid. I think what she said (and continues to say) pissed off a lot of people.

I agree with everything you said about her, and as days pass even scarier info comes to light. (See contentlove's most recent post)

Pissed off a lot of people, and thrilled lots of others. The "culture wars" are still ramping up, and I fear what will happen when they do finally reach their peak.

Yes, and that thrill makes me sad and angry, and frankly I have a hard time understanding it. How could someone cheer the put-down of people who work hard in communities to make their own and others' lives better? How cold-hearted and mean-spirited does the average Republican have to be to think this is a good thing?
