According to talk show host Thom Hartman, the oil execs wern't under oath. I wonder why?

See, that's just my point. I actually do wonder why. The easy answer is that they have the government in their pocket, but if that were the case, none of this would have happened to begin with. I think at the very least, my view of the amount of power big oil has was off. What the oath thing brings up is exactly how much, or rather how little it was actually off by.

Think of this way. Most folk wouldn't know that they weren't. So it looks like the powers that be are doing something when they are not.
