I'm following your stories, but I'm a bit behind. You're so prolific - I envy you. You write good prose so effortlessly, it looks like you can write a long chapter a day. I wish my muse were that generous!

I'll say this. I've been writing for a long time.

Not necessarily in any particular fandom, and my writing hasn't been read by anyone else until recently.

But since I could write, I have written. That, coupled with a pretty high typing rate, gets the work out pretty quickly. And I write at night.

People are always more creative at night.

But sometimes I pressure myself to write when I have no inspiration, and you get something like the first chapter of Spiral, which felt awkward and wonky while I wrote.

I say, serve your muse. You update with a hell of a lot more dedication than a lot of fanfic authors, and you have every sign of finishing this story.

Oh shit! Xander is so screwed! How on earth is he ever going to explain this to Buffy? Although, I am a little confused as to why Giles is so angry with Xander. It's not like be betrayed Buffy or anything.

Because Giles feels like the biggest idiot on Earth. He has just told Faith that Xander doesn't have to clear up her mess, and it sounded like "yes, a guy had knocked you up, but you should be grateful that he agrees to help you, slut". And this faux pas has happened because Xander had been lying to him all this time.

I know I won't be able to sway your opinion on Spike, but, at least, I hope that I'll manage to soften your attitude to Buffy.

You know, when I've sent the first draft to my "voice beta", lusciousxander, she had offered to make Buffy sound less harsh. I deleted some lines but kept some other lines. I wanted Buffy to be conflicted, confused, complex - a real person in a very difficult situation. And now I'm sitting here, and me fingers itch to delete some phrases in later chapters - because I suddenly realized that my story is dangerously close to become a so-called "bashing fic" - and I love Buffy. A lot. But, at the same time, I think her behavior *may* be pretty unsympathetic when it comes to Faith. And making her instantly forgive and accept Faith would be cheating, IMHO.

I hope it does make sense.
