In Southern California today, a young man entered a cafeteria. Not familiar with the dish of the day (enchiladas), he asked the Mexican cook what was in it.

In Spanish.

In all seriousness.

The quizzical look on the cook's face was beyond priceless.

The one way to be certain something will not get done is to set a day aside especially to do it.

How is it that sheet music publishers are so incredibly dense and impossible to work with? I am trying to GIVE THEM MONEY for a product they are SELLING. Somehow, this does not seem to be a priority to them. This has happened quite a few times before ( Read more... )

I drove out of my apartment complex this evening. I was only going to be out for 15-20 minutes, so I left my (assigned) garage door open, as I often do. Got a letter today. I'm waitlisted at UT Austin. Not as good as accepted, but at least it's a "we've determined you're sane and competent enough to maybe come here."
