Wait, the Society is cancelled? I need to go appeal to Professor Dumbledore. Surely cinnamon is not that dangerous?

I think it's more the gist of unsupervised activity ... ? But I don't know. Go appeal if you think it'll help.

I'm on my way! Lils to the rescue, right? Would I leave you hanging? Would I? And I'll bring the whizbees we have left over from that afternoon by the lake.

Oh, and yeah, stuff has been happening. One of the second years boys had to go home because his dad is missing. He was in Ravenclaw..and he's muggle born. There is a bunch more stuff in the Prophet, I'll bring it with me so you can read. It's not exactly cheerful stuff though, I'm warning you now.

Lils! You're brilliant! I'm sorry I've been so long without responding - Pomfrey confiscated my linked journal to make sure it's antiseptic or something. I really didn't listen to her all that well.

[Private to Lily: On the other hand, I got this really weird ... note, I guess, in my journal. Do you know anything about notes like that? I'm really out of touch. It's further down the page. /private]

Really? That blows so fucking hard. They didn't find his dad yet, I presume? or did they find him dead?

I know. I am brilliant. And Pomfrey is a very strange lady.

[Private to Dee: I got one too. They've been going around, I think. I don't know who's writing them, but I say just ignore it.]

It really does. And no, they haven't found him yet.

I'll come and replace the chocolate frogs you gave me at start of term. Are mumps itchy? Moreover, are they itchy enough to get hypothetical someones off the hook for homework for a bit? (And thanks for the Quidditch sympathy. First all the practices had to be chaperoned and now it's banned altogether and it's utter bollocks. Suppose I understand why he's gone and done this, but it's still bollocks.)

That's great! Lily's coming round too, would you like to join us? I dunno really if the mumps are itchy - although now I'm sure they're going to start itching just to make me mad - but they sure hurt like a bugger. If need be, tell someone I contamined you, yeah? (It's really sad. No Quidditch, no Hogsmeade ... life will be so boring.)
