using numbers to lie

My father believed that "numbers don't lie". Well, maybe when he was doing the counting but I just finished my monthly stats and whoo boy! Did I tell some whoppers. which part? in which play? whose the director? and you have to feel some pride in the fact that Dan calls you. he knows that if you say you'll do it then you'll do it and he can count on you. thats pretty cool. and besides... if you're the understudy... you can always poison the actual person and then get the roll... *bats eyes innocently*

Don't think that wasn't the first thought that came to me... I mean the one about poison.
Frankly, I wish Dan would think of me first, just once.
