I went to the movies last night and watched Forrest Gump The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was pretty good. The Gump reference hit me about halfway through the movie, and I couldn't figure out why. I mean, it's not about a mentally handicap individual running into all these famous people and situations. But then I started thinking...

You might enjoy reading the short story the movie is based on. It's by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It doesn't have quite so many Gumpisms.

Hmm. I'll try to track down a copy. I'm one of the few people I know who enjoyed The Great Gatsby, so perhaps I will like this short story, too. :) Thanks!

The Great Gatsby was my favorite nook in High School. I took a lot of crap for it, but who cares.
I found Benjamin Button in an anthology of his short stories at the BCS library. It was several years ago, but it should still be there.
