Weekend Ramblings

It is without a doubt, if Captain Kirk gets into ANY kind of physical fight or movements, you will have the comfort in knowing that his shirt will always rip in the exact same fashion. But don't you worry, by the next scene he will be just as cozy in another shirt identical to the one ripped ( Read more... )

Star Trek is the communist ideal except in space. Since the Federation is blatantly communist, you can be assured that no one on Star Trek will ever wear a Hawaiian shirt to work.

Kirk's shirts express that quite well. Worn for function only, if Kirk's commu-shirt rips, another one takes its place and performs the exact function the original shirt performed.

Communism is cool, if it worked (but no one has ever even reached the idea comunist state so we won't know for quite awhile). Kirk is a real bastard.

Well after a few episodes, Kirk's attire does get a little fancier. You're right, though. They don't have a "casual Friday" on the ship.
I don't agree with you on Kirk being a bastard. I happen to enjoy the fella very much. He is logical with the warmth of human emotions. He wants nothing but the best for his ship and crew. Highly respected by me, he is.

Kirk always has to have his way with any female that comes across the crew's path. It can never be Bones' turn, can it, Kirk?

I think Kirk is a chauvenist pig in communist shirts. Yes!

Actually, the few episodes I've seen recently, it has been the doctor that has been the womanizer. Kirk has only a few loves, and they are portrayed as loves not just women.
But in all honesty, I would absolutely love some of those shirts. All the different colors, several of them. Yea.

Kirk gets a LOT of women. Are we talking about the same Star Trek? I know that nurse with the cool braided hair and he had something special, but it seems like every planet they land on, Kirk has to grab some woman by the upper arms and violently kiss her.

But let's not argue over Captain Kirk. Would you want the little metal Enterprise on each one, or just plain?

Hey, I'm only a new found Original series fan. I have noticed that all Kirk's women have been blonde, though.

I'd take it either way, honestly, however, it would be nice to have a few with the enterprise on it.
