Dear Mt. Awesome,

I think that you are so rad that someone should stitch you a superhero cape. I am printing this entry out & bringing it with me to therapy today, as an example of things that keep me Afloat on a daily basis. thank you for Regularly Saving the Day.

your fan,
Souci

AWESOME advice!!! Raise the bar on what you consider "average!" As we've found on the journey up the slopes of Mount Awesome, if you expect more AWESOME in your life, you'll experience a self-fulfilling prophecy! And we've also learned that O.K. is the enemy of awesome. It's a median point on the scale that can be stagnant mediocrity if you just choose to stay there -- neither good nor bad, just moving in a straight line with no progress up the Mountain (and not even appreciating the surroundings!). But what would happen if we redefined what "O.K." is to begin with, as we learn to experience more of the AWESOME in our lives? Heck, we'd face ever-escalating levels of AWESOMENESS every day! And that's just what the climb is all about.

We wake up every day at the median point, and we can either continue climbing, or slip down towards Crap City. If we continue climbing, we wake up every day that much further up the Mountain! Where we wake up is already more AWESOME than where we were the day before! And that's just the starting

Use caps! You know how nowadays (it wasn't like this when I was a kid) when you get an email from someone and it is spelled OUT LIKE THIS!! The volume inside your head increases? Usually, people have reserved the caps for sentences like this ( ... )
