quit

today I was mad at school, and at my professors, and at my workload and at the UW. I was ready to quit but I'm not that easily deterred. I guess the Jesuits really set me up nicely and I could never complain about that. Welcome to public school - now I'll just be getting back to my homework.

it's just crazy - I feel like I've already done so much of this type of work and I get the impression that I seem to talk too much in class or offer up my own perspective a bit too often. I know that it's all about sharing the floor - but heck, if no one else is going to talk! Plus, I got a really unclear 6 page handout about an assignment that is 45% of my grade (15 pages of observational research on middle school kids and how they learn). Not to mention the fact that it actually says "At some point during this assignment, you may feel like cursing us or cursing this class" what the heck? Today will be better.

Remember, all you pay for is the right to sit in that seat in the classroom. Therefore, use that seat as much as you want. Screw it if no one else is talking; let them throw their money away. You want to learn, so talk.

Keep sticking it to higher education. It's the only way those crusty old deans will ever learn.
