Don't look for the helpers

Night shift does weird things to my brain, sometimes. I don't remember what I dreamed about after I went to sleep this morning, but I woke up with the old quote from Mr. Rogers flitting about my brain:

phnee is functionally pretty useless, phnee has opinions, phnee is actually pretty boring, volunteering, wibbling, thinky thoughts, anxiety, phnee complains too much

Even as an adult, it’s okay to look for the helpers. We are stronger if we act together and protect each other.

I like to think I’m normal, but I also worry about this stuff.

The problem is that most people just look for the helpers and stop there. It's not that it's not okay to look, it's as you said "if we act together." Simply looking means staying passive, and we can't afford to be passive anymore.

I hope it's normal to worry about this stuff, because otherwise I am doing something terribly wrong. ;)

Yes - no-one is going to save us. We need to save ourselves, but we can’t do it alone.
