Medicine

So, I've been ill lately and nothing has helped. It only just occurred to me, but clearly the problem is that I haven't made for the old Victorian first aid kit. I really should have checked with Watson first.

Watson had the answer all along... )

Actually he had three older brothers who ran the family distillery... Where do you think all the bloody stuff was coming from, at the rate they were getting through it? : )

Yes, the distillery: a.k.a. the family pharmacy.

Holmes gasped, quaking with fear. "But how- how did you ever-"

"Brandy, my dear fellow," chuckled the Professor, raising his pistol, "Brandy."

Aha, now I can clean out my first-aid kit and medicine cabinet. I clearly only need one item to fix all ailments! Leave it to Wtson to find the great cure-all of all time.

To think I worked in a pub for three years when I could have been practicing medicine!

Oh my goodness, I laughed for hours at this! So clever! I then forwarded the link to all my friends and together we laughed for more hours to come. The day has gone on and still we haven't stopped laughing. Perhaps Brandy can cure that too. This is probably the most original and thoughtful post out there. I seriously haven't stopped smiling. And my hysterics to come over this tonight will probably wake all the neighbors in a good block's radius. I am befriending you!

So glad you enjoyed this, and I'm always happy to make others giggle! And while you can take brandy for the giggles, I find it just makes one laugh more. Not a bad thing, really.

This post is so funny I looked it up in my concordance. To wit,
"brandy: usually for restorative purposes BLUE, EMPT, FIVE, PRIO, SECO, SIGN, SPEC, 3STU; and water (with breakfast) ENGR; and ammonia GREE; Wood gulps down a whole bottleful to save his life LION."

With breakfast? Anyway, thanks for the great post to liven up my random browsing!
