Happier memories!

This photo was taken during a trip to Maggie Valley, NC. I think this was 1989 or 1990. We went through Asheville, took a tour of the Biltmore house, then on to Ghost Town in the Sky to ride the rides, then home on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Yes, my hair did look like that. Yes, I am posting this picture.

You know, one thing that will always stick out for me about Marj was that she always did what she wanted to do. I know that probably later became a huge sticking point but I admired that about her. I know so many women who as they get older would be petrified at the thought of setting out on the open road and traveling and exploring but it seemed like that was right up her alley. Very cool to think about. This looks like one of those trips that will always be remembered fondly - I hope that's the case!

And the hair's great. I loved the eighties (even as they hung around into the nineties in our little burg). Not that I had room to talk - what with my electric blue eye shadow and all. :)
