very cool. i tried the container veggie garden thing a couple of years ago and failed miserably....it was a combination of not having sunshine where there could be no kitties. :P I did grow half a cucumber and some cherry tomatoes once I moved them outside. :D

That sounds like a wicked awesome project! And you get to play in dirt!

We have sunshine, but we also have the rotten neighbors' stupid little dog to contend with. And some perfectly adorable squirrels, rabbits, and one very large raccoon.

Have you been up here since we moved into the townhouse? I never can remember. I seem to recall that you have. Anyway, the back patio is shadier but has some dappled sun - fine for greens, which I'll plant before too long. The front porch gets strong sun several hours a day, so we'll put sun-loving plants there. Depending on how many things actually sprout (could be tons, could be NONE - who knows), I'm planning to build enclosures for groups of pots using small-mesh fencing. My book says that is pretty effective. I guess we'll see, won't we!

I don't really have a green thumb so I guess we'll just have to see how this goes.

Yes, though it's been entirely too long! If nothing goes horribly wrong by the end of April, early May, I'd love to come up - it's been entirely too long!
