Here are some things I've enjoyed of late.

Slam poet and wordsmith from Peterborough Mark Grist is pretty great; I particularly like his lovely poem Girls Who Read. I was linked to a video of his where he does a rap battle with a 17-year old kid (Grist is an English teacher), and I started looking at his other stuff from there. Today I am wearing a shirt that I haven't been able to fit into for the best part of 2 years or more. I feel good.

I'm dieting. It's quite strict and I've had to make a lot of cuts to what I eat; it's an Austerity Diet. It's working, though. I'm having to use new holes in my belts, stuff like that. People are commenting. It's all going in the right direction ( Read more... )

Might be nice, mightn't it? Being an attendant Lord. At least they don't usually end up dead. And there's nothing wrong with starting a scene or two, swelling progresses.
