i was on the internet, bein bored when i thought, "hmm, what does youtube have to say about this?" when i searched for it on IMDb, it showed up as Die Unendliche Geschichte. apparently, the movie was based on a german book. this seems obvious to me now (the movie machine is seldom creative). also, the first movie only covered half of the book.

I can say that there may be a slight resemblance, and this is probably the first time that I've seen an actual comparison. I think the child like empress should get some piercings. That would help with the resemblance. lol (nerd)
