I've been meaning to write about this for a few weeks now, but I've been a busy, busy boy. This entry will deal with what many of you might feel is sensitive material so all of the important bits will be behind the cut. I feel I should warn you that this post will be criticising what many consider to be 3 of the largest religions in the world. If ( Read more... )

I agree with near nothing you said, but that's my opinion and this is yours :) I am not Muslim, Christian or Jewish. I was raised a Baha'i, I think you should look into it actually, they somewhat hit some of your points, eheheheh, just in a different manner... with different conclusions than those you have come to. Anyhow, I am no longer a Baha'i... I am... well, lets just say I'm not a Baha'i, my spiritual beliefs are too long to be interesting eheh, I'd rather not bore you.
Oh, but some of the stuff about Islam was a bit off... I know you said that you have not studied the bible, so I assume you've not studied much of the Qur'an either. I think their original intent with certain things that yes, are oppressive today, would surprise you... or at least what I assume (maybe incorrectly) what you considered oppressive when you wrote that.
In any case... yeah... the end... :)

I wrote it all by myself and had a friend proof-read it for me. Thanks for taking the time to read it and I hope Nick likes it too.

i think it's pretty safe to say that their are few things that i've read, online or otherwise, that i've agreed with as completely as I agree with this entry.

Thank you for taking the time to write it all out...you pretty much covered all the bases- from the big three religions being VERY anti-female to the very basis of the religions being on fear of the unknown and just despritely trying to give people something to prove that we are better than other people.

IN my personal opinion...we are the same as the animals and everything else. That's not to say that we can't eat them or whatever, just that when we die, we die. there isn't some great reward for those of us who are constantly vigilant against the enjoyable things in life.

I'm going off on a tanget so i'll stop here...again, thanks for posting that.

Although I do believe in God, your entry didn't offend me because I don't exactly like organized religions myself, and those that you've reviewed are among those that irritate me the most... So, I appreciated your entry even though I'm not an atheist ( ... )

The Universe has an end. It's been proven, people have seen the end of our universe and beyond our universe lies another universe. It is just the way it is. We are too small to perceive of things that are so large, but that doesn't mean that it isn't an evolutionary system just like everything we are capable of perceiving. It's all about perspective.
