J.R. reads picture books now.  She can't actually sound out words yet - she will "count letters" (i.e. name all the letters one by one) but makes no attempt to marry them to their sounds or string them together.  She will, however, memorize stories and use the pictures as her guide when reading them to us.  Here, in all its glory, is her rendition ( Read more... )
