I have the choice to update or to do my homework. Updating sounds good. Things have slowed down slightly. I'm finished with my music history class, but I still have one last essay for it to turn in next week. I'm also finished with the clarinet! I really hate the clarinet and I'm glad that's over. So the first week back has been busy as usual. On saturday was our first annual MENC Music on our Schools Month recital. It was a short recital that featured MENC members on their secondary instruments. So taking 15 classes this semester was not a real great idea. About two weeks ago I burned out, hitting rock bottom about 10 minutes before a Horn Stars rehearsal. So I'm leaving Valpo on Saturday to come home. I'll be home from Sunday to the weekend of March 12. My roommate Laura is coming for the first part of break as well. When will everyone else be home?

Wow, another update from Jen. Last night was a lot of fun. I went with John Allegar and a perspective adn another organ major out to dinner. The organ fellowship paid for it, so that was nice. So it's been a while since I've updated, but it's been a crazy semester. It's non-stop from the moment I get up to the moment I go to bed. I've only been getting 4-5 hours of sleep and night and I am just exhausted. I can't focus on anything and I'm getting pretty cranky. I'm almost finished! All that's left are juries and two finals. It's been a long past two weeks. Last week was "hell week" in the VUCA, the week of the Christmas concerts. The Christmas concert is a huge thing here. CCB (Chamber Concert Band, the top band), Orchestra and Chorale (the top choir) all perform in 3 huge concerts. Supossedly every group ( Read more... )

So it's been a while since I've last updated. Two weeks ago my parents came for Parents Weekend. My mom made me dinner here at the house and I got to eat real food.
