Hellraiser! The first one that began a dynasty of horror. Some tepid, some outstanding. The first one is of course the best one!

horror, writer's block, scary movies

Supercalifragilistic Sado-Masochism! mr_stubbly October 24 2008, 18:54:51 UTC
I like scary movies, campy movies etc. Especially anything truly original and authentic. Movies Like Halloween, Friday 13, or Freddie Krueger ad infinitum, leave me nonplussed.
Try the a great remake of an old a Silent movie"Kongo" This 1932 Sado-Masterpiece got by the censors, somehow! More a venture into human depravity than horror.
Evil Dead was originally so low budget that that in itself created an appeal. The first actually a Master's project actually used claymation.
Master's projects that made it big could be a genre on their own. Look at David Lynch's Eraserhead. What was the name of that movie that the guy from the band Oingo Boingo and his brother did? Oh yeah; Forbidden Zone-Hilarious!
I'm falling over into other categories. Forbidden Zone is Camp for Camp's sake. A Rocky Horror for the economically dispossessed.
As I ramble along...I like all kinds of Films though and I don't mind going alone. There is nothing like the big screen! I want to see horror adapted to I-Max! that would be a breakthrough ( ... )

I think I've made it clear that I enjoy good horror. I appreciate some more than others but I love it from the silent pictures of the past to Saw V. I can go to horror movie festivals and barely taste my popcorn.

I think I've established this in the past. I'm a Horror Freak not a 'weinie'!;~p

Say, "Evil Dead" 300 times fast.
It becomes both music and mantra. An interesting set of syllables

I would have nominated The Gun Club's Fire of Love LP as a soundtrack to the movie. It had plenty of interesting sound as it was.
I just like The Gun Club. I wish Jeffrey Lee Pierce was still with us.

I fully realize that apparently I'm talking to myself ;~|
