Where's the Ugly? It has to be the good, the bad, and the ugly when you post like this.

As someone who's helped put together a pottery shed before, I can say "Woot!" to you in complete knowledge of what completing a shed might mean.

Sorry to hear about your Wife's car. Are y'all still able to get around, pretty much? For some reason, I don't think of transit being all that great in Upstate NY

Laptop = what sort of video problems? Are you getting dead zones on the screen, or is it resolution / flicker?

We are very lucky, we have two vehicles, one car one truck. The problem is that when her car is out of commission, she has to take the Truck. Yeah, transit sucks here.

As for the laptop, it's just about five years old now. Its a Dell Inspiron 8200 with a Radion 9000 64mb Video Card. When I got back from vacation I hooked it up at home and after a few hours it started having problems. It started as just a few lines flickering on and off the screen. Over time it has gotten worse and I eventually took the laptop completely apart to make sure all of the connections were solid. Everything seemed ok, so I put it back together. Still have the problem. The next step was to un-install the drivers and re-install them. This also did not fix the problem. Maybe the video card was damaged on the trip somehow.

Do you have a regular computer monitor you could hook it up to? That would test whether the card, or the screen, is the culprit.

Yep, checked that. The problem shows up on both screens. I've started to look for replacement cards on e-bay.

We are giving some away to people who leave Odeos for the show, some will go as prizes, and some of them will be given out at conventions.

I'd be more than happy to send one your way for your contributions to the show if you e-mail me an address. Or you can wait till we run into each other at a convention.
