Not to beat a dead theme with an inter-LJ segue, but of all the musical storytellers out there, Dar Williams has consistently found herself near the top of my list of favorites. yeah. i do that all the time.

there was a time when i remember being as excited about god as my born-again parents were--because this "god" thing that i had no mind yet to understand was a vague sense of security and assurance of all the things that made my little-girl world feel safe and warm and happy.

I am so happy I finally visited your live joural, and it only took 16 months! You write so beautifully, I have almost forgotten. When you talk about wishing you could recapture your past, it brings me back to our times spent together in NY and the many years since. It's amazing what happens with time.

I miss you.
