So anyway, you missed some crazy combat with an augmented gelatinous cube. A lot of damage and damaged equipment was had by all, except you and the slave girl that stayed up on the walkways. Josta was engulfed, but escaped sans hair. After it was killed, Bramner used his steel shield as a sled to work through the pool of acid to collect the goodies it dropped. There were also 6 clear disks about 36" wide x 1" thick that weigh about 40# and sound like metal when tapped. 4 of the disks were collected, 2 remain

I forgot this little gem about where the battle that was the turning point of the war occured...

The Rock of Bral
Founded a good long while ago by Pirates, to this day it is ruled, by the descendants of those very pirates. It is the largest port in existance. One can find nearly every race's ships in its docks. Excluding the Spiders and the Orcs, but Including the Drow and mind flayers. The mind flayers even have an embassy there.
The rock has a very capable police force, this is mostly because the criminals are very capable themselves. Carrying weapons is allowed, though anyone bold enough to use them would get arrested quite quickly. Nobody really wants to start a tavern brawl when beholders, Mind Flayers or huge lizard things are around.

And the really strange thing about the book. No dates are mentioned.

I'm guessing those unkown terms include things like phlogiston, helms, and sphere walls. Am I the only other player in our group who knows what the Rock of Bral is?

More along the lines of it being translated to read flow, helms, and spheres.
