Good people...

It's nice to know I'm surrounded by em :) Together, they were able to raise over $1,000 to help me get my bike back together. Thanks to everyone who helped out and chipped in, the bike should be up and running again soon!

I bet, I'm glad you are going to be able to fix her. It would be silly to make that trip to AZ to have this stop you... I mean, hell the whole freaking deserts in AZ and CA didn't stop you! 16 hours of drive time was it?

It should have been around 11 hours, but yeah - with all my roadside power naps on the way back (and doubling back for gas to prevent getting stranded), it was probably even more than 16 :)

Karma is a great thing sometimes. Do good to others, and good gets done to you. :-)

Off topic a bit, but what do you think of the fledgling 450 Moto bikes?

It's a great concept. With two stroke GP bikes seemingly on their last legs, I think US roadracing really needs a class where young racers can get noticed.

Maybe not quite as cool (or as capable) as the 125 GP framed 450s, but they could make up for it in their availability.

I never even thought about whether or not I was deserving of help - it's just nice to know people are behind me :)

Couple of weeks, but since it's starting to rain (and my primary tracktime provider is done for the year), I probably won't be rolling again til 2008.

Someone has to have an old motor with a blown transmission / top end lying around!

I try to do track stuff year round - it's just hard to make plans when you're unsure of the weather. I'm actually okay at riding in the wet, but I still don't like it.

I don't do too much street riding these days. It's not because I dislike it - I just prefer to spend my free time on bicycles :)
